Professional journey

Katie Au has 20 years of experience as a professional engineer, including more than 10 years with BBA where she now serves as Director, Practice. After completing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of British Columbia, she worked for various engineering firms on the West Coast before joining BBA as it was setting up its Vancouver office. Specialized in protection and control and cybersecurity, she has acquired extensive project management expertise in the utility, mining and industrial organization sectors.

Katie is Chair of the BBA Diversity Equity and Inclusion committee and continues to be involved in numerous professional associations including the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of British Columbia (ACEC-BC) and BC Society of Engineering and Geoscience (BCSEG).
